| FEET WITH HEAT DANCE TRUST - SCHOLARSHIP FOR COUPLE DANCERS |
The Feet with Heat Dance Trust promotes and supports dance in the Wellington Region through shows and scholarships. One of the objectives of the Trust is to establish a Scholarship Fund from which ‘Dance Couples’ (referring to partner based dances) and ‘Dance Couples Formation Teams’ can apply for financial assistance to further their dance skills, knowledge and abilities in their respective Dance Styles.
Applications are now closed for the 2008 Annual Scholarship. Email: info@feetwithheat.co.nz for a 2009 application form .
Applications will be considered for costs associated with travel and attendance by applicants to Dance [Competitions, Workshops, Camps, or such similar events (as demonstrated by applicants), and appropriate to the applicants respective dance style/s]. APPLICATIONS CLOSE 24th AUGUST. |

...the not too serious dance team challenge was a great success in 2008 and again this year! Thank you to all entrants and supporters.
We'll be back in September 2010 (with the 1st round Sunday 29th August). Entries accepted from 30th June!

Entries will be open to all amateur dancers of: SALSA, MODERN JIVE, TANGO & ROCK'n'ROLL. Each team must have one couple from each dance style.

There will be no auditions for the 2010 show - all performances will be by invitation only.
This year we celebrate 10 years of entertaining in Wellington and to mark the occasion an all new show is in development.
Show date is the 11th September - tickets on sale from May.

Dine & Dance evenings are a regular Sunday feature at the Southern Cross. A socially orientated dance evening featuring great dance music from top local DJ's, FREE dance class, no cover charge (kids welcome) and of course great food from the Southern Cross!

| NEW STUDIO OPENING NIGHT CUSHION PARTY |
Help us celebrate the official opening and commissioning of our new floor with an open invitation cushion dance party night. Seeing as we don’t have much furniture we thought you could bring your own - you’ll need to bring your own cushion unless you want to stand for 2.5 hours? For those that do we’ll award one lucky cushion owner a special prize for the best cushion. Be in to win…!
We’d love you all to be there to celebrate this special moment in history for us. There will be a short official opening ceremony at 7pm followed by mixed music before and after so you can all test the new floor, or at least help us break it in!

Entries open to all amateur dancers of: SALSA, MODERN JIVE, TANGO & ROCK'n'ROLL. Weekly prizes & top 3 awards from a total prize pool of up to $2000.
Heats to Semi's on Sunday's Aug 29th, Sept 5th/12th/19th, and finals on 26th. Each team must have one couple from each dance style - ENTRIES NOW OPEN: info@feetwithheat.co.nz.
Come & support local dancers as they battle it out on the dance floor, or if you like to watch, enjoy it along with The Cross's dining out experience at their contemporary kiwi restaurant.
